Dr. Schallen received clinical fellowship training in applications of MRI to the chest, abdomen, and pelvis, with specific training in cardiac and vascular applications. Additional interest includes MRI of the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Schallen published post-doctoral research in laser-tissue interactions and the development of microsurgical instrumentation utilizing optical fibers.
